Dr. Charles E. Nnolim is Professor of English at the University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. He was recently a Visiting Professor of English at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. He is also the author of Benito Cereno: A Study in Name-Symbolism, Approaches to the African Novel, and numerous articles in journals including Research in African Literature, NKA: A Journal of Arts, Commonwealth, Black Academy Review, Wahlverwandtschaften, etc.
